  1. To whom do I give this new charming little book
  2. polished with a hard rock?
  3. Cornelius, to you: for you were accustomed
  4. to think my trifles to be something
  5. now then, when you alone of the Italians dared
  6. to unfold/explain wth three learned rolls the whole age/course of history,
  7. by Jupiter, and involving a lot of labor.
  8. Therefore have for yourself this whatever of a little book,
  9. of whatever sort which, <oh> patron maiden,
  10. may remain more than one enduring age.
